Introduction

DocuChain is intended to be a simple way for people to upload documents to the block chain securely. It is done typically by

  1. Provide the intended documents
  2. Receive a quote for processing
  3. Pay the required cost
  4. We process and mint your documents.

Prohibited Uses

The following are prohibited use cases

  • Breaking the Law
  • Attempting to spam, hack, exploit, or otherwise do anything malicious which might impact our business or our server or technology.
  • Add other CC users to the email that you don’t have permission to do so.

If you break these rules we may suspend your account or blacklist you, your email, or ip address.

Intended Use

Docuchain collects user submissions for minting data to the blockchain. In doing this there are 3 categories of information. Public, Private and Secret. The body of an email, the subject of an email, the names of files attached to the email, the date and time that documents were submitted, and the ipfs hash of the encrypted zip files are considered public. These items are intentionally put into meta data on the minting transaction on the blockchain. This data can never be removed due to the decentralized nature of block chain and ipfs

When the system received file it will encrypt files if encryption can’t be verified or if multiple files were received. The system will analyze the cost, send you the encryption key and a link to pay, then delete any unencrypted files.

Once payment is received, the system will perform blockchain minting and processing. Once it’s visible on the blockchain you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to see the live transaction and to download your encrypted file.

Amendments and Changes to the Agreement

If we materially changed this agreement we we will try to provide reasonably advanced notice to any users who have established an account, except in the case of adding new features, or dressing urgent concerns like identification of a vulnerability.

Limitation of Liability

Due to the nature of blockchain information can not be taken down. We can’t be held responsible for anything that you send to us. Once the minting confirmation is complete you should download and store your own documents for safe keeping. We can’t grantee long term storage of documents as only a fingerprint of the document is uploaded. The core document is stored on IPFS which does not guarantee long term storage.
